We consider the Homesteader a hybrid machine. The needle end is a class 15 Singer sewing head and the rest is commercial with an "M" size bobbin.

What is the warranty?
The machine comes with a two year warranty. We will replace all parts that fail during normal home use for one year. We also offer email and phone support for any questions or problems you may experience.

Where can I get service and repair?
Your new machine will be fully tested before it leaves our facility but in the event something goes wrong after your warranty has expired any sewing machine repair shop will be able to help you. All of the parts are readily available and they will probably have the most common ones in stock. Should your local service person not be able to locate the part needed we will always be happy to get it for you.

Approximately how many stitches per minute will the machine sew?
We really don't have the equipment to count the stitches per minute. The 1.5AMP motor will run at 9000RPM and the machine will sew faster than I would personally quilt.

How is the bobbin accessed?
The M size rotating hook bobbin is accessed at the front end of the machine. The bed of the machine ends just past the needle hole for easy access to the bobbin.

Does the machine have a built-in thread cutter or needle up/down feature?
The machine does not have any type of thread cutter but does have an electronic needle positioner.

The photo shows the handles to the rear, are there front handles also?
Yes, the handles can be changed for front or rear use. There is also some adjustment (front to back) at the attachment point for variations in height and arm length. Lower rear handles are also available for an additional $20.

How wide is the floor frame system?
It can be set up at 6, 8, 10 or 12 feet. The width is determined by the length of the strut you supply so you can make it as big as you have room for. The price includes 10 feet of track which will give you 109 inches of quilting space.
