What is the throat space of the machine?
19" x 5" - Actual quilting space is 109" x 17" on a 10 foot frame for the 19" Homesteader.™
22" x 5" - Actual quilting space is 133" x 20" on a 12 foot frame for the 22" Homesteader.™ Back to Top
What brand of machine is it?
We consider the Homesteader a hybrid machine. The needle end is a class 15 Singer sewing head and the rest of the machine is commercial with an "M" size bobbin. Back to Top

What is the warranty?
The machine comes with a two year warranty. We will replace all parts that fail during normal home use for two years. We also offer email and phone support for any questions or problems you may experience. Back to Top
Where can I get service and repair?
Your new machine will be fully tested before it leaves our facility but in the event something goes wrong after your warranty has expired, any sewing machine repair shop will be able to help you. All parts are readily available, and repair shops probably will have the most common ones in stock. Should your local service person not be able to locate the part needed, we will always be happy to get it for you. Back to Top
How much does the machine weigh?
The 19" Homesteader™ weighs 34 pounds, and the 22" Homesteader™ weighs 38 pounds. Back to Top
Approximately how many stitches per minute will the machine sew?
We really don't have the equipment to count the stitches per minute. The 1.5AMP motor will run at 9000RPM, and the machine will sew faster than we would personally quilt. Back to Top
How is the bobbin accessed?
The M size rotating hook bobbin is accessed at the front end of the machine. The bed of the machine ends just past the needle hole for easy access to the bobbin. Back to Top
Does the machine have a built-in thread cutter or needle up/down feature?
The machine does not have any type of thread cutter but does have an electronic needle positioner. Back to Top
The photo shows the handles to the rear, are there front handles also?
Yes and the handles can be changed for front or rear use. There is an adjustment (front to back) at the attachment point for variations in height and arm length. For greater flexibility, lower rear handles are also available for an additional $20. Back to Top
How wide is the floor frame system?
It can be set up at 6, 8, 10 or 12 feet. The width is determined by the length of the strut you supply so you can make it as big as you have room for. The price includes 10 feet of track which will give you 109 inches of quilting space. The footprint of the floor frame is 4 feet x the length of the frame + 6 inches. Will the Homesteader work with the frame I already own?
Yes the Homesteader works with many other frames. Call or email with your frame model for compatibility.
